Washington isn’t called the Evergreen State for nothing. Lush temperate rainforests comprise great portions of the western half of the state from the Cascade Range to the Pacific coastline. Outdoor recreational opportunities are abundant here, from biking and hiking through the mountains to boating and fishing in the Puget Sound. You can also take a stroll along the rocky beaches which, while often rainy, are beautiful in their own right.
